Here, we try to answer some of the common questions we get asked.
Q. Can I take my dog to the show?
A. Yes, providing the dog is kept on a lead and the normal protocols such as cleaning up dog mess, and do not leave your dog locked in a vehicle.
Q. Is there disabled access?
A. Yes, there is disabled parking in main car parks, and most of the avenues around the showground are tarred. The pay gates can accommodate wheelchairs, but there is also side gates which can be used if necessary. Shopmobility Highland are on site and motorised wheelchair hire can be organised with them if necessary.
Q. What is the cost for car parking?
A. Car parking is free of charge, and there is ample parking.
Q. Is there provision for “nursing” mothers?
A. There are several mothering areas around the showground available for use.
Q. Does the admission into the Show include the cost of the fairground rides?
Q. Is the showground suitable for pushchairs and buggies?
A. Yes, the majority of avenues around the showground are tarred and have smooth surfaces.
Q. Is the show just for farmers?
A. No, the show is for everyone.
Q. I have heard there will be no horses at the show, is this correct?
A. This is incorrect, there will be Showjumping on Wednesday during the preview evening, and native horses (Clydesdales, Shetlands and Highland Ponies) on the Main Show day.
Q. If I purchase a ticket online does this get posted to me?
A. No. We are selling tickets online this year and offering discounts for bulk purchases. You will not receive a paper ticket in the post. You will receive an Order ID by email and you should take this to collect your pass at the dedicated ‘advanced ticket sales’ area. Under 12s are free, and will be given a pass at the gate by security staff.
Q. Is there a cash machine available at the show?
A. Yes, this is provided by Cash On The Move. There is a fee made of £2.95 per transaction.
